Distribution of fresh water resources |

|
Life
on the Gansu Loess Plateau in northwestern China is very difficult due to the
arid condition and the lack of fresh water resources. In the less arid regions, the water resource issue is usually caused by man-made pollution. Residents in all these problem areas often have to find and manually transport fresh water
from a distance of more than 15 miles away. Since 2007, Thin & High members have been visiting remote villages on the Gansu Loess Plateau and in Sichuan to study the
water resource issues. We have been working to find solutions for distributing
China's fresh water resources and to protect the fragile environment.
